• solve some 300,000 crimes
• recover more than a billion dollars worth of
stolen property and narcotics and

CRIME STOPPERS INTERNATIONAL,
INC. (CSI)
as the world headquarters, is the central
;learinghouse for Crime Stoppers materials, and
the main source of problem - solving for individual
programs There is a minimal charge for
nformation needed to start a Crime Stoppers
program.
A 30- member Board of Directors establishes
CSI policy and represents the Members.
From its Albuquerque, New Mexico, World
Headquarters, the CSI staff:
• Distributes a comprehensive Crime Stoppers
Manual and video tapes describing the
operation of Crime Stoppers;
• Produces training, public relations and
promotional tools;
• Processes hundreds of inquiries each month
concerning statistics, legal issues, fundraising,
publicity, promotion, insurance; and media,
board and police relations.
• Sponsors, with a host program, the Annual
Crime Stoppers International Conference,
where law enforcement, community and media
representatives from around the world
exchange information and participate in
professional training, and where CSI awards
are presented;
Publishes The Caller, a monthly magazine
containing statistical information, instruction,
and accounts of Crime Stoppers successes;
Provides a Crime Stoppers Directory;
• Develops resources for the headquarters
operations;
• Makes on -site visits.
Provides a toll -free line for incoming calls.
