On April 12, 1990, the City Council appropriated $7,000
from the unrestricted fund balance of the General Fund for
the purposes of valuing City property and equipment and
establishing a fixed asset recording and reporting system.
The City obtained the services of a consultant to develop
this system for the City, May 30, 1990.
Staff and the consultant have been working together since
June 1990, and expect to complete the project by October
19, 1990. Staff is assisting in the collection of data
relative to the City's asset:;, and in doing so, is
assuring that the work is as a(,curate as possible. As
soon as the "rolling stock" has i-,oen r e:orded, the project
will be completed.
Recommendation:
That the City Council re- appropriate $7,000 for contract
services to provide the City with a valuation of City
property and equipment and the establishment of a fixed
asset recording and reporting system, from fiscal year
1989/90, (01 -117 -642), to fiscal 1990/91, 01 -117 -642.
