MEMORANDUM
TO: The Honorable City Council
FROM: Donald P. Reynolds, Jr. , Management Analysi'
DATE: September 28, 1990
SUBJECT: Recognition of City Summer Youth Employee
Program Participants
This summer, the City helped to employ seven students in
conjunction with the Summer Youth Employment Program,
coordinated by the Ventura County Superintendent of
Schools with funding provided by the City and the Joint
Training Partnership Act, (JTPA) . Attached is a list of
the participants who worked at City Hall and with the City
Maintenance team.
These students are provided an opportunity to gain work
related experience with federal and City funds, in order
to assist them in finding a meaningful career in the
future. At the same time, the City benefits from the
program by having extra help to assist with the daily
activities of maintenance and office related work.
This year, the City was very fortunate to have the help of
the participants, and would like at this time to recognize
their hard work and dedication to the community.
