This requests that the City Council authorize the City Manager
to execute a contract for minor asphalt repair work to portions
of Tierra Rejada Road and Grimes Canyon Road.
DISCUSSION
That portion of Tierra Rejada Road between Spring Road and
Moorpark Road is in need of minor repair. Repairs to Grimes
Canyon Road are also needed.
The Budget includes $20,000 (Account # 03- 142 -642) for
miscellaneous street patching. It is recommended that
additional funds be appropriated tc provide for this work and to
leave a contingency for future needs.
Staff has solicited and received tds for minor road repairs.
The scope of the intended work would include asphalt repairs to
the roadway and repairs to the shoulder of the road.
On the basis of the bids received, staff is in the process of
negotiating a more clearly defined project scope and cost of
repairs. It is anticipated that they final scope and ( unit) cost
for the project will determined early next week and the repair
project begin immediately thereaftkr. The total cost of the
required work on both roads is (xpe ,,t(-d to not exceed $30,000.
