Kellerman, City Clerk DATE: December 5, 1990 SUBJECT: PRESS PACKETS Staff was requested at the November 21, 1990 City Council meeting to research the practices of other cities in providing agenda packets to the press. No � Complete Thousand Oaks No Complete The City of Moorpark presently prtwides, at no charge, complete agenda L packets to the Daijy_Kews, Enterprise, Moorpark _News Mirror, News Ch nicle, and L.�Ti�� A packet was previously provided to KNJO pV (Radio) but was discontinued becauti,e wz, 3 not picked up. The L.A. Times rarely picks up their packet. 1 Using a per page copy charge cf $.2`_j (Miscellaneous Fee Schedule Resolution 90 -707), estimating 24 meetings per year and 200 pages per agenda, an estimated yearly cost tc: provide the agenda packet is $1,200. The City could charge a reduced atc, of $.10 per page for the agenda packet resulting in a $600.00 pr a ea7. 799 Moorrark STAFF RECOHNENDATION That the City Council approve a six (6) month extension o the December 7, 1989 agreement until August 31, 1991 subject to the Embassy Croup Inc. agreeing to a .endi r i t.` ?xj.F irq December 7, 1989 agreement so as to accomplish the following: 1. That Embassy Croup Inc. shall record IDN -1 . a parcel r2,v, , approved by Resolution No. 87 -418 meeting all condition requirements of this resolution as stated "prior to recordation ", no later than February 28, 1991 or when the i-iended agreement is signed by the City, whichever occurs first. 2. That Embassy Group Inc. shall provide a cash deposit with the City sufficient to guarantee the construction of all public improvements alciq Tierra Rejada and Spring Road's to be the satisfaction of the City Engineer. 3. That prior to the City signing any amended agreement the Embassy Group Inc. shall pay for all additional staff time (including City Attorney and City Engineer) in the preparation of this extension request and any amended agreement documents.
