DATE: April 13, 1989 cc//✓✓//
SUBJECT: MOORPARK COMMUNITY ARTS COMMITTEE
At its meeting on April 5, 1989, the Council appointed the following

(Moorpark College), Sydney Kessler, and Teresa Radich. Three
additional representatives (including consideration of a nominee from
the school district) remain to be appointed.
Staff is requesting direction from the Council with regard to meeting
frequency, committee objectives, and involvement of staff. Attached is
the proposal for the formation of the Committee and minutes of the
meeting of February 15, 1989 (when Council originally considered the
matter). The Council may wish to identify a starting point from this
list. Also, staff suggests the first Community Arts Committee be a
joint meeting with the Council or with an ad hoc Committee of the
Council so that, the Arts Committee receives clear direction from the
Council on its purpose and function.
