The truck is in good condition and with certain repairs/additions, will provide the City with approximately two years or more years of service. The truck has been inspected by City staff and currently has a reading of 79,176 miles on the odometer. It is in need of shocks, tires, and minor body repair and paint. The estimated cost of the necessary improvements it $1800. It is currently projected that the truck to be donated may be used for code enforcement and occasional recreation needs, and possible backup for the Sheriff's parking enforcement. By utilizing the truck in this manner the need for mileage reimbursement for the Code Enforcement Officer would be eliminated ($1200) . Projected cost of insurance for the truck is $1,200. If approved of this permitted use appropriation to accounts 01-131-554 (Vehicle Maintenance and supplies) for $2,000, and 01-131-548 (Insurance) for $1,200, would be necessary. 799 Moorpark Avenue Moorpark,California 93021 (805)529-6864 Honorable City Council July 16, 1986 Page 2 Currently the City has the purchase of a truck budgeted in Public Works- Streets.
