ECT: CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE 1993 NATIONAL SMALL BUSINESS
TREE PLANTING PROGRAM GRANT
Thit presents for approval the subject grant.
In anuary, staff submitted an application proposing to plant
395 trees and shrubbery, along with the necessary root barrier
rings and irrigation system, at various City designated parkways
and slopes. In March, staff was notified that the project was
not recommended for funding. However, there was still a chance
the project could be funded at a later date, in the event all
gra tees did not sign contracts or use all of their funds.
Res dual funds were to be re- allocated either in late fall or
early spring of 1994.
