CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Parvin called the meeting to order at 6:20 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmembers Mikos, Pollock, Van Dam, and Mayor Parvin. Absent: Councilmember Millhouse. Staff Present: Steven Kueny, City Manager; Hugh Riley, Assistant City Manager; Deborah Traffenstedt, Deputy City Manager; David Klotzle, Interim City Engineer/Public Works Director; Captain Ron Nelson, Sheriff's Department; David Moe, Redevelopment Manager; Jeremy Laurentowski, Landscape/Parks Maintenance Superintendent; and Allen Walter, Landscape/Parks Maintenance Superintendent. 3. PUBLIC COMMENT: None. 4. REORDERING OF, AND ADDITIONS 11-0, THE AGENDA: None. 5. PRESENTATION/ACTION/DISCUSSION: A. Consider Resolution Amending the Fiscal Year 2010/11 Budget to Allocate Additional Funds for Turf Restoration at Arroyo Vista Community Park. Staff Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 2011-3017. ROLL CALL VOTE REQUIRED Mr. Kueny gave the staff report. He recommended approval of Option 2, as described in the agenda report. Additionally, he stated that staff would investigate the cost of an aerator, and would bring this back for Council review for a funding allocation, if this was determined to be cost effective in lieu of having all of the aeration work done by a contractor. 131 Minutes of the City Council Moorpark, California Page 2 April 20 2011 There were no speakers. MOTION: Councilmember Pollock moved and Mayor Parvin seconded a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2011-3017 amending the Fiscal Year 2010/11 Budget to allocate additional funds totaling $130,000 for turf restoration at Arroyo Visa Community Park. The motion carried by roll call vote 4-0, Councilmember Millhouse absent. B. Consider Reassignment of Certain Departmental and Position Responsibilities and Authorize Promotion to Parks and Landscape Manager Position. Staff Recommendation: Authorize promotion of Landscape/Parks Maintenance Superintendent to Parks and Landscape Manager. Mr. Kueny gave the staff report. There were no speakers. MOTION: Councilmember Mikos moved and Councilmember Pollock seconded a motion to authorize promotion of Landscape/Parks Maintenance Superintendent to Parks and Landscape Manager. The motion carried by voice vote 4-0, Councilmember Millhouse absent. 6. CLOSED SESSION: None was held. 7. ADJOURNMENT: Mayor Parvin adjourned the meeting at 6:48 p.m. Janice S.
