SUBJECT: Consider Conveying Grant Deed for Fee Simple Title to 396, 406,
and 436 Charles Street (APN 512-0-081-020, 512-0-081-030, 512-0-
081-040) to the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Moorpark
("Agency")
BACKGROUND
In accordance with Development Agreement dated August 30, 2007, Toll Land XX
Limited Partnership acquired the properties of 396, 406 and 436 Charles Street
("Properties") to satisfy a portion of their affordable housing requirement for Tract 5463
and 5464, and transferred them to the City of Moorpark.
On September 2, 2009, the Moorpark Redevelopment Agency Board approved a
Disposition and Development Agreement between the Agency and the Area Housing
Authority of the County of Ventura outlining the proposed development of the
Properties.
At its regular meeting of March 17, 2010, the Council authorized the City Manager to
execute all documents necessary to transfer the Properties to the Agency. However,
the March 17 action did not specifically authorize the transfer of the Properties. It is
necessary for the Council to authorize this transfer to the Agency.
FISCAL IMPACT
None.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Authorize the conveyance of grant deed for fee simple title to the properties at 396, 406,
and 436 Charles Street (APN 512-0-081-020, 512-0-081-030, 512-0-081-040) to the
Redevelopment Agency of the City of Moorpark.
