The AHA Resident Council conducted recruitment for a Resident Commissioner to serve a two-year term beginning July 1, 2016. After a review of the three(3)qualifying applications received from interested candidates and subsequent interviews, the AHA's Resident Commission has selected Victoria Bramson, a public housing resident in Thousand Oaks, as the recommended Resident Commissioner. A letter has been received from the members of the AHA requesting ratification of the appointment of Ms. Bramson to serve as Resident Commissioner. STAFF RECOMMENDATION Direct that a letter be sent to the Area Housing Authority Board ratifying the appointment of Victoria Bramson as a Resident Commissioner for a term ending June 30, 2018. The Resident Commissioner shall be selected by a panel of residents and the appointment must be confirmed by all participating jurisdictions to represent all Area Housing Authority residents. The current Resident Commissioner term will be expiring June 30, 2016. A panel of five (5) Public Housing residents was designated to interview and select the succeeding Resident Commissioner. Following a review of applications from interested candidates and subsequent interviews, the five (5) member panel has selected Ms. Victoria Bramson, a public housing resident in Thousand Oaks. • At the May 25th meeting of the Board of Commissioners, I was directed by the Board to request that our jurisdictions ratify the appointment, so therefore request that the City of Moorpark confirm or deny the appointment of Ms. Victoria Bramson as Resident Commissioner to our Board. Victoria's two-year tenn will begin on July 1, 2016 and expire June 30, 2018. Thank you very much for your attention to this request.
