Moe II, Redevelopment Manage BY: Jessica Sczepan, Administrative Special' DATE: March 25, 2008 (CC Meeting of 4/2/08) SUBJECT: Consider Resolution Amending Fiscal Year 2007/08 Budget to Fund 14303 Princeton Avenue Demolition Project BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION The City acquired 14245 and 14303 Princeton Avenue for road widening purposes. On January 16, 2008, the Redevelopment Agency Board approved a demolition contract for 14245 Princeton Avenue, 460 Charles Street, and 1095 Walnut Canyon Road. On April 2, 2008, the Agency Board approved an amendment to the demolition contract, which added 14303 Princeton Avenue to the demolition project. FISCAL IMPACT Funds are budgeted in the Los Angeles A.O.C. Fund (2501) in the amount of $24,000 for site clearance related to the widening of Princeton Avenue. The total cost of the work at 14245 Princeton Avenue and 14303 Princeton Avenue will be $28,380. A budget amendment in the amount of $6,011 from the Los Angeles A.O.C. fund is required to fully fund this project. This includes an approximate 10% project contingency for the 14303 Princeton Avenue demolition. STAFF RECOMMENDATION (ROLL CALL VOTE) Adopt Resolution No. 2008- Attachment 1 — Resolution No. 2008- X00057 ATTACHMENT 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2008 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK ("CITY"), CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2007/2008 BUDGET BY APPROPRIATING $6,011 FROM THE LOS ANGELES A.O.C. (2501) FUND FOR DEMOLITION OF 14303 PRINCETON AVENUE WHEREAS, on June 20, 2007, the City Council adopted the budget for Fiscal Year 2007/2008; and WHEREAS, the City desires to demolish buildings located at 14303 Princeton Avenue; and WHEREAS, a budget amendment is needed to fund the demolition of these buildings. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. A budget amendment in the amount of $6,011 from the Los Angeles A.O.C. Fund, as more particularly described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto, is hereby approved. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall cause a certified resolution to be filed in the book of original resolutions. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of April, 2008.
