SUBJECT: Consider Resolution Establishing Revised Parking Restrictions on
Mountain Meadow Drive North of Tierra Rejada Road and Rescinding
Resolution No. 2001 -1925
DISCUSSION
In December of 2001 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2001 -1925 rescinding a
prior resolution and establishing revised parking restrictions on Mountain Meadow Drive
between Tierra Rejada Road and Mountain Trail Street, along the frontage of Mountain
Meadow Elementary School and Mountain Meadow Park. That resolution established a
Three Minute Loading Zone in front of the school.
It is the recommendation of staff that the aforementioned "Loading Zone" be changed to
a "Five Minute Parking Zone ". The attached Resolution will effectuate this proposed
change.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Adopt Resolution No. 2007- rescinding Resolution No. 2001 -1925.

RESOLUTION NO. 2007 -
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING PARKING
RESTRICTIONS ON MOUNTAIN MEDOW DRIVE NORTH OF
TIERRA REJADA ROAD AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION
NO. 2001 -1925
WHEREAS, Section 22507 of the California Vehicle Code (CVC) authorizes a
local agency to establish parking restrictions, including the establishment of preferential
parking zones, on any street within its jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to such authority, the City Council adopted Resolution No.
2001 -1925 establishing certain parking restrictions on Mountain Meadow Drive north of
Tierra Rejada Road; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is necessary to revise said
parking restrictions.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Resolution No. 2001 -1925 is hereby rescinded.
SECTION 2. "NO STOPPING ANYTIME" zones are hereby established and /or
reestablished on Mountain Meadow Drive at the locations generally described on Exhibit
"A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, and listed as follows:

SECTION 3. Parking shall be prohibited within ten feet (10) of any driveway on
Mountain Meadow Drive north of Tierra Rejada Road.
SECTION 4. A "NO PARKING 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m." zone is hereby established
on Mountain Meadow Drive at the location generally described on Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and made a part hereof, and listed as follows:

SECTION 5. A "FIVE MINUTE PARKING" zone is hereby established on Mountain

SECTION 6. The parking restrictions established herein shall not apply to any Bus
Stop or Loading Zone established by a Resolution of the City Council.
SECTION 7. The City Manager is hereby directed to provide for the placement
of signs or markings giving notice of the revised parking restrictions provided for herein.
SECTION 8. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and
shall cause a certified resolution to be filed in the book of original resolutions.
