A. Approval of December 7, 2016 Regular Meeting Minutes.
8. ADJOURNMENT:
All writings and documents provided to the Teen Council regarding the agenda items are available for public
inspection at the Arroyo Vista Recreation Center public counter located at 4550 Tierra Rejada Road during regular
business hours. The agenda for all regular Teen Council meetings is also available on the City's website at
www.MoorparkCa.gov

1. CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order at 5:06 p.m. by Chair Khandelwal.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Councilmember Jimenez.
3. ROLL CALL:
Present: Caroline Gratke, Delia Hamm, Ranesha Harkness, Brandon Jimenez, Trisha
Khandelwal, Jett Landis, Benjamin Myers, Nicolette Sichmeller, Diana Spencer, Vivek
Thiyagarajan, and Daniel Vargas.
Absent: Karam Barakat, Melody Espinoza, Connor Nielsen, Saima Siddiqui, and
Matthew Waters.
Staff Present: Recreation Supervisor Michael Ramirez and Recreation Leader Ill
Victoria Peterson.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT:
None.
5. DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS:
A. Discuss Status of"Fall Giving" Events.
Councilmember Spencer and Councilmember Myers gave a status report on
potential events suggested at the previous meeting. The Teen Council elected to
continue researching other possible events.
B. Discuss Spring Lazertag at the Library Event.
Library staff members Christine Conwell and Emily Appleton were in attendance
to discuss the Teen Council's ideas for the proposed Lazertag event. The Teen
Council discussed admission, safety concerns, and other potential forms of
revenue related to the proposed event.

C. Discuss Breakfast with Santa Event.
Staff member, Victoria Peterson, met with the Teen'Council to discuss Breakfast
with Santa, answer questions, and provide information about the roles of our teen
volunteers.
D. Upcoming Teen Programs and Events for Volunteering and Promotion.
• Breakfast with Santa, Friday, December 16, 2016, 3:15 to 6:15 p.m. to
decorate for Saturday Event.
• Breakfast with Santa, Saturday, December 17, 7:00 a.m. — 12:30 p.m.
• Cupcake Challenge, Saturday, February 11, 5:00 to 8:30 p.m.
• Volunteer Day Saturday, February 25, 2016. 9:00 a.m. — 12:00 p.m.
6. ANNOUNCEMENTS/FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
None.
7. CONSENT:
A. Approval of November 2, 2016, Regular Meeting Minutes.
MOTION: Councilmember Sichmeller moved and Councilmember Myers seconded a
motion to approve the Consent Calendar. The motion carried 11 - 0.
8. ADJOURNMENT:
Chair Khandelwal adjourned the meeting at 6:09 p.m.
