SUBJECT: A Resolution to Enable the Enforcement of the
California Vehicle Code at 18 E. High Street
(Southeast Corner of Moorpark Ave. and High St.)
OVERVIEW
This requests adoption of a resolution restricting overnight
parking in the parking lot managed by the City, located at the
southeast corner of High Street and Moorpark Avenue.
DISCUSSION
A. Authority
Section 22519 of the California Vehicle Code provides for the
application of any CVC parking regulation to any publicly
owned or operated parking facility.
B. Parking Restriction
In order to discourage the unauthorized storage of vehicles
in the subject parking lot, it is recommended that parking be
prohibited between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached
resolution.
