Approval of November 2, 2016 Regular Meeting Minutes. 8. ADJOURNMENT: All writings and documents provided to the Teen Council regarding the agenda items are available for public inspection at the Arroyo Vista Recreation Center public counter located at 4550 Tierra Rejada Road during regular business hours. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 5:07 by Chair Khandelwal 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Chair Khandelwat 3. ROLL CALL: Present: Karam Barakat, Delia Hamm, Brandon Jimenez, Trisha Khandelwal, Benjamin Myers, Saima Siddiqui, Diana Spencer, Vivek Thiyagarajan, Daniel Vargas, Matthew Waters Absent: Caroline Gratke, Ranesha Harkness, Jett Landis, Connor Nielsen, Nicolette Sichmeller Staff Present: Jennifer Mellon, Recreation/Community Services Manager; Michael Ramirez, Recreation Supervisor 4. PUBLIC COMMENT: None. 5. DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS: A. Discussion Committee Assignments for"Fall Giving" Events The Teen Council discussed a variety of giving opportunities to participate in over the Holiday season. Two events were chosen: Stocking Stuffer drive for a local Hospital and coordinating performances/visits to the senior living facilities in Moorpark. Councilmember Spencer is the committee lead for the stocking stuffer drive and was going to contact the local hospitals for information and lists of goods they would except as donations. Councilmember Myers is the committee lead for the performances at the senior facilities and was going to contact the Moorpark High School band leader to see about coordinating the effort for them to perform. Discuss Teen Council Event to take place in Spring Ms. Mellon requested that Mr. Ramirez discuss an event that he had done previously called "Lazertag @ the Library" to see if the Teen Council had any desire to try this event in Moorpark during spring 2017. The Teen Council was all in agreement that this sounded like a great event. The event would be held at the Moorpark City Library before daylight saving time begins on a Friday night in the spring. To participate, teenagers would bring a new teen or classic book to donate or pay a $10 entry fee. The City would rent the lasertag equipment. Could have Pizza and a theme of "black out" meaning wear all black clothing. The Teen Council also discussed having gaming systems available and using the 3-D printer for demonstrations. More discussion of this event will take place at the next meeting and the Moorpark City Young Adult Librarian will be asked to attend the meeting. C. Discuss additional program ideas. No additional program ideas were discussed. D.
