Gilbert, Director of Public Work DATE: June 9, 1995 (Council Meeting 6- 21 -95) t,100RPARK, CAIIMMN City Council Meeflng Of. 6-191 1994- AC7IONb(� v� SUBJECT: Consider Authorizing Recordation of the notice of Completion for a Project to Construct Parkwy and Median Landscaping Improvements on Princeton Avenue and Campus Park Drive On February 15, 1995, the City Council awarded a contract to Cascade Sprinklers, Inc. for the construction of the subject project. The scope of the subject project included the construction of irrigation and landscaping at the following locations: • the parkways on the east and west sides of Princeton Avenue (except the frontage of the commercial property); • the medians on Princeton Avenue; and, • the parkways on the south side of Campus Park Drive from Columbia Street to Penn Street. The construction of this project has been completed. The ninety day maintenance period began on May 8, 1995. It is anticipated that the improvements will be accepted for maintenance by the City on August 9, 1995. Final payment of the retention will be made at that time. It is appropriate, therefore, to proceed with the recordation of the subject Notice of Completion for this project. R"5.cv Parkway / Median Landscaping June 1995 Page 2 C. Fiscal Impact 1. Accept the work as completed, subject to satisfactory completion of the maintenance period. 2. Instruct the City Clerk to file the Notice of Completion for the project. 3. Authorize the release of the retention upon satisfactory clearance of the thirty five (35) day lien period.
