MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL

A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark was held on June 21,
2006, in the Community Center of said City located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark,
California.
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Hunter called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmembers Harper, Mikos, Millhouse, Parvin, and
Mayor Hunter.
Staff Present: Steven Kueny, City Manager; Joseph Montes, City Attorney;
Hugh Riley, Assistant City Manager; Mary Lindley,
Parks /Recreation and Community Services Director; Barry
Hogan, Community Development Director (arrived at 6:45
p.m.); and Deborah Traffenstedt, Administrative Services
Director /City Clerk.
3. PUBLIC COMMENT:
None.
4. CLOSED SESSION:
Mr. Kueny requested the Council adjourn to closed session for discussion of two
cases under Item 4. A., two cases under Item 4.13. on the agenda, and Items 4.C.
and 4.D.
Mr. Montes announced that in the matter of the first case under Item 4.A„ the
facts and circumstances creating significant exposure to litigation consist of a
written claim received from Joe Herzog on March 24, 2006.
Mr. Montes announced that in the matter of the second case under Item 4.A., the
facts and circumstances creating significant exposure to litigation, which facts
and circumstances are known to potential plaintiffs, consist of verbal and written
communications threatening litigation received from Viola, Inc.
MOTION: Councilmember Harper moved and Councilmember Millhouse seconded a
motion to adjourn to closed session for discussion of two cases under Item 4. A., two
cases under Item 4.B., and Items 4.C. and 4.D. on the agenda. The motion carried by
unanimous voice vote.

Present in closed session were Councilmembers Harper, Mikos, Millhouse,
Parvin and Mayor Hunter; Steven Kueny, City Manager, Joseph Montes, City
Attorney; Hugh Riley, Assistant City Manager; Mary Lindley, Parks /Recreation
and Community Services Director; Barry Hogan, Community Development
Director; and Deborah Traffenstedt, Administrative Services Director /City Clerk.
Ms. Lindley left the meeting at 6:42 p.m. Mr. Hogan arrived at 6:45 p.m.
The City Council reconvened into open session at 7:07 p.m. Mr. Kueny stated
that two cases under Item 4. A., two cases under Item 4.B., and Items 4.C. and
4.D. were discussed and there was no action to report.
5. ADJOURNMENT:
Mayor Hunter adjourned the meeting at 7:07 p.m.
