MCI-
MOORPARK CITY COUNCIL
AGENDA REPORT
TO: Honorable City Council
FROM: Hugh R. Riley, Assistant City Manager
DATE: July 12, 2006 (CC Meeting of 7/19/06)
SUBJECT: Consider Resolution Appointing a Voting Delegate and Voting
Delegate Alternate for the League of California Cities Annual
Business Meeting
DISCUSSION
The League of California Cities Annual Conference is scheduled for September 6 -9. An
important part of the Annual Conference is the Annual Business meeting, where the
League membership takes action on resolutions that establish League policy. A recent
change in procedure has been adopted by the League regarding designation of voting
delegates and alternates. In order to vote at the Annual Business Meeting it is
necessary for the City Council to designate a voting delegate and voting delegate
alternate. Only individuals who have registered for the conference may be designated
as delegates. Staff recommends that Council appoint the Mayor as League Voting
Delegate and the Assistant City Manager as League Voting Delegate Alternate.
