MOORPARK CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT TO: Honorable City Council FROM: Jeremy Laurentowski, Parks and R- A eation Directory, By: Jessica Sandifer Program Mana•e DATE: October 9, 2017 (CC Meeting of 101 8117) SUBJECT: Consider Authorizing Acceptance of Easement Deed for Canterbury Lane Landscape Maintenance District (Zone 21) BACKGROUND & DISCUSSION When the landscaping, irrigation, and associated equipment and backflows were installed for the Landscape Maintenance District associated with the Canterbury Lane project (Zone 21), it was installed in an area that is now owned by the Canterbury Lane Homeowner's Association. In order to allow the City access through the HOA property for purposes of maintaining the Landscape Maintenance District equipment and mainline, an easement deed has been drafted by Shea Homes and approved by the Canterbury Lane Home Owner's Association. In order to record the deed and effect the easement, the City Council has to accept the easement deed. FISCAL IMPACT There is no fiscal impact for accepting the easement deed. STAFF RECOMMENDATION Authorize City Clerk to accept interest in the Easement Deed from the Canterbury Lane Homeowner's Association for purposes of public landscape maintenance.
