SUBJECT: Consider Renewal of Landscape Maintenance Contract with
Sunridge Landscape Maintenance, Inc., for Fiscal Year
1993 -94.
The contract for landscape maintenance for city parks, parkways,
and medians is an annually renewable contract. The contract with
Sunridge Landscape Maintenance, Inc., expires on June 30, 1993.
The contractor has agreed not to increase his base costs for 1993-
94. Increases in the contract will only be made with additions to
the scope of work as determined by the city.
Staff feels that the contractor has overall provided the city good
service and recommends renewing the contract with Sunridge
Landscape Maintenance, Inc. for another year.
The contract also provides the city the opportunity to withhold
the cost of the specified service if the work is not done
satisfactorily.
As the City Council will recall on October 12, 1992 this contract
was amended and renewed for FY 92 -93. A copy of the current
contract is on file with the City Clerk's office.
The current contract is for $19,989.54 per month, and will remain
so for the next fiscal year. The contract amount will adjust as
new parks and additional landscaped street areas are added under
the city's jurisdiction or extra work is authorized.
Approve the contract renewal with Sunridge Landscape Maintenance,
Inc., for the period of July 1, 1993 to June 30, 1994, and direct
the City Manager to execute contract on behalf of the city.
