MEMORANDUM

SUBJECT : Consider Agreement for Electrical Service to
Portable Office Trailer
At your August 15, 1990 meeting, Council appropriated
$64, 200 . 00 for the purchase and installation of a 36 ' x 60 '
portable office trailer. At your February 6, 1991 meeting,
staff presented firm costs for telephone and electrical
service installation which required an additional
appropriation of $6, 400 . 00 . This brought the total price of
the trailer and installation to $70, 600 . 00 ; trailer
$54, 244 . 00 and installation $16, 356. 00 . Bids were requested
for the electrical service installation, and Simi Valley
Electric was the low bidder at $11, 300 . 00 .
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
1 . Authorize the City Manager to spend up to $12, 000 . 00 for
installation of electrical service to the portable
office trailer; $11, 300 . 00 for installation and $700 . 00
contingency.
2 . Authorize the City Manager to sign and execute all
necessary contracts on behalf of the City for said
installation.
