Gilbert, Director of Public Works DATE: April 8, 1994 (Council Meeting 4-20-94) SUBJECT: Consider Acceptance of Landscape Easement Deed at the Northwest Corner of Los Angeles Avenue and Shasta Avenue DISCUSSION At its meeting of December 15, 1993 , the City Council approved a project for the construction of a block wall at the northwest corner of Los Angeles Avenue and Shasta Avenue. That project included provisions for a five feet (5' ) wide landscape easement to be constructed between the existing sidewalk, which is located at the property line, and the proposed block wall. Attached is a copy of the landscape easement provided for this purpose. Said Easement Deed has been signed by the owners of the property, Mr. and Mrs. Lopez, and is suitable for recordation. The City is in the process of seeking bids for the construction of the block wall project and expects to be able to award a contract for this work in the near future.
