Status of Basketball Court Resurfacing
The basketball courts at North Meadows Park were resurfaced approximately
six months ago with a paint- sealant material provided by California Sports
Construction, which was designed to better withstand the wear and tear
of the elements and daily play. Staff was requested to review the success
of this application prior to proceeding with the work at Campus Canyon
Park and Glenwood Park.
Staff is satisfied with the way this treatment has withstood the heat,
rain, and regular use during the last six months and is recommending that
the same treatment be applied to the courts at Campus Canyon Park and
Glenwood Park. There is $4500.00 in park improvement funds for 1992 -93
( $3000 at Glenwood for one full court and $1500 at Campus Canyon for one
half court) set aside for resurfacing at these two sites.
The Parks and Recreation Commission has reviewed this report and concurs
with the staff recommendation.
RECOMMENDA71ION
That the City Council approve the expenditure of Park Improvement Funds
for the resurfacing of the basketball courts at Campus Canyon Park and
Glenwood Park, in an amount not to exceed the budgeted funds.
