SUBJECT: Consider Authorizing Recordation of the Notice of
Completion for the Construction of Sidewalk and Related
Concrete Improvements at Various Locations
OVERVIEW
This presents for approval the Notice of Completion for the subject
project.
BACKGROUND
On February 2, 1994, the City Council awarded a contract for the
construction of concrete improvements at various locations. On
February 8, 1994 City Council approved a Change Order (No. 1) to
the contract adding the construction of sidewalks on Harry Street
and Roberts Avenue. On May 18, 1994, the Moorpark Redevelopment
Agency and the City Council approved a Change Order (No. 4) for
improvements along High Street.
DISCUSSION
A. Additional Work
In addition to the City Council approved change orders as
mentioned above, a total of four other change orders were made
to the contract. Change Order Nos. 2 and 3 involved public
right-of-way improvements along Harry Street and Roberts
Avenue. Change Order No. 5 involved upgrading the Eggs West
driveways from residential to commercial standards. The
remaining Change Order (No. 6) was for reconstruction of the
spandrel at the intersection of Hastings Street and College
Heights Drive.
B. Final Inspection and Acceptance
The City Inspector has completed a final inspection of the
project, and has found the work to be acceptable. At this
time it would be appropriate for the City Council to accept
the project as completed, direct the City Clerk to file a
Notice of Completion and authorize release of the retention.

C. Fiscal Impact
As shown on Exhibit 'A' , the amount budgeted for this project
was $71, 580. 00. The total amount spent was $66,876.45.

clearance of the thirty five (35) day lien period.
