DATE: October 4, 1995 (Meeting of October 18, 1995)

BACKGROUND
The City Council appropriated $15, 000 at Campus Canyon Park and
$10, 000 at Glenwood Park, from Fund 5 (Park Improvement Funds) to
install security lighting.
Staff had contracted with Lawrence Lundeen, a licensed electrical
engineer, to provide a lighting design to the City for these two
parks . Staff also purchased the specified number of fixtures and
poles for each park, which have been delivered and are currently
stored at the Maintenance Yard . The Building and Safety
Department reviewed the plans, and will provide inspection as
part of the building permit . City staff will administer the
contract for the installation of the lights .
At the City Council meeting of August 2 , 1995, the City Council

aforementioned parks . At that time, the electrical engineer had
provided staff a construction cost estimate for both parks at
$19, 000 .
