ITEM . i October 10, 1995 (Meeting of October 18, 1995) Consider Acceptance of Country Trail Park The landscaping improvements for Country Trail Park have been completed by the developer, California Community Builders (CCB), as required by the City. Staff would recommend that the City Council accept the park contingent upon completion of all final walk through changes and repairs to the satisfaction of the Director of Community Services. CCB has requested that in lieu of maintaining the park for one year, as required by the City, that CCB pay the City the amount of money needed for one year of maintenance in addition to 25% administrative overhead. Staff concurs with this and in addition is recommending that CCB retain the financial responsibility and maintenance of the utilities (water and electric) for the one year period, in order to develop an annual history which the City can use for future budgeting purposes. CCB is agreeable to keeping the water and electric services under their name for one year. This is similar to the agreement made with Urban West for the first year of maintenance for Tierra Rejada Park. Staff would further recommend that the City Council set the park dedication date for Saturday, October 28, at 3 pm, and direct staff to work with CCB on handling the details of the event. RECOMMENDATION 1) Accept Country Trail Park and initiate the one year developer maintenance period upon completion of all necessary work to th sat'sfaction of the Direc or of Community Services.
