AGENDA REPORT
CITY OF MOORPARK

SUBJECT: Consider Appointing City Council Ad Hoc Committee for
Development Agreement with Special Devices, Inc. (SDI)
The EIR for the proposed SDI project has now been released for
public review. A Development Agreement (Agreement) has also been
proposed. It is recommended that the Mayor appoint two
councilmembers to an ad hoc committee for the purpose of
negotiating an Agreement with SDI.
It is further recommended that the committee report back to the
City Council on June 19 for further direction by the Council.
This schedule would allow the Agreement to be considered and
recommended by the Planning Commission during July (along with
the application), and for the City Council to schedule the public
hearing on the Agreement concurrently with the project. It is
anticipated that the City Council hearings would be scheduled for
July 31 or August 7.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Appoint an ad hoc committee and direct that the committee report
back to the City Council on June 19.
