AGENDA REPORT 1996 0702 CC SPC ITEM 07D
AGENDA REPORT CITY OF MOORPARK TO: The Honorable City Council FROM: Nelson Miller, Director of Community Development DATE: June 24, 1996 (CC Meeting of 7/2/96) t R 1TEVI SUBJECT: Consider a Resolution directing the Planning Commission to study, conduct a public hearing, and provide a recommendations pertaining to revisions to Table 17.24.020 B of the Zoning Ordinance relating to setbacks in Commercial, Industrial, and Special Purpose Zones and also review the types of approvals required for uses in all zones. Some questions have arisen regarding interpretation of sections relating to sideyard setbacks of Table 17.24.020 B, which were adopted by Ordinance 189, on March 2, 1994. Some of the formatting in the Table was also changed, which has created some confusion and should be clarified. In addition, the processes and types of approvals for various uses in all zones needs to be reviewed and clarified. Staff has been operating under some administrative policies in order to reasonably implement the processes set forth. A review of these processes and policies may allow streamlining of the process while still maintaining adequate review and consideration. RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Resolution No. 96- _ directing the Planning Commission to recommend revisions to Table 17.24.020. B relating to setbacks in Commercial, Industrial, and Special Purpose Zones and also to review the types of approvals required for uses in all zones.
