HomeMy WebLinkAboutAGENDA REPORT 1996 0702 CC SPC ITEM 07MCITY OF MOORPARK AGENDA REPORT TO: The Honorable City Council i FROM: Richard Hare, Deputy City Manag DATE: June 26, 1996 (CC Mtg. 7/2/96) � ITEM 1 SUBJECT: Consider Resolution 96- Establishing the Salaries for Competitive Service, Non - competitive Service, and Hourly Employees; and Rescinding Resolution 95 -1140 Background The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the City of Moorpark and the SEIU Local 998, requires the following: Salary Adjustments: The City agrees to adjust wages of classes in the bargaining units covered by this agreement two and one -half percent (2 k%) ... effective with the payroll period beginning July 6, 1996. In order to maintain internal equity between various employee classes, the budget anticipated a 2 k percent adjustment for all classes. This includes full -time, part -time, salaried non- competitive, and competitive employees. The salary tables are attached as exhibits to the resolution. Staff Recommendation: Staff Recommends the City Council Rescind Resolution 95 -1140; and adopt Resolution No. 96- C: \WPDOCS \CC.REP \SALARY96.WPD
