City of Moorpark

Moorpark, CA 93021
Dear City Council:
<J-
The Moorpark Woman's Fortnightly Club would like to sponsor a public forum for the
candidates who are rwming for election on November 5, 1996.
We would like to hold the forum on Tuesday, October 8, 1996 in the Apricot Room and have
tentatively reserved the room for that evening. The event will run from 7:00 PM to around
9:00 PM.
Our organization is respectfil ly requesting the same assistance from the City as has been
provided in the past: waiver of room rental fees and the cost of setup and takedown labor as
well as video broadcasting of the event.
The forum will be conducted much as it has been in the past by our organization, with a
moderator and the opportunity for each candidate to make statements and answer written
questions from the audience.
This event will permit the public to hear from each candidate about the issues in our city and
will offer a chance to directly question each candidate on subjects concerning their candidacy.
Thank you in advance for assisting us to provide this service to the community.
Sincerely,
Connie Lawrason
President
