The $600 has been expended by the agency along with an additional $50 donation received by the City and forwarded to the program. They have requested by the letter attached an additional appropriation of $350 for the remainder of this fiscal year. This additional appropriation would bring the total appropriation to $950. The budget for this activity aears in the administrative services budget line item for p ofessional services (01.4.117.641) along with other social service funding. Funds are available in this budget line item due to fewer disbursements than expected for other social service activities for the 9 month period July 1990 through March 1991. As stated in the attached letter from the Program Administrator, the average ride costs $25.91. A "ride" consists of a one way trip per client. "Rides" are only for those senior's who cannot drive and have no other means of transportation. Forty "rides" to Moorpark seniors have been provided this year. If additional funding is not received, they have indicated they may have to discontinue rides for the remainder of the year. Recommendation Approve additional $350 for the program for 90/91 fiscal year with funds to come from the budgeted social services funds in account 01 -4 -117 -641. Attachment: PAUL W. LAWRASON JR.
