CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA AGENDA REPORT City Council Meeting City of Moorpark of P// 2 1992 AC iJ14: To: The Honorable City Council From: Ken Gilbert, Director of Public Works Date: November 7, 1997 (Council Meeting of 11- 19 -97) Subject: Consider Approval of a Notice of Completion for the Arroyo Vista Community Park Pedestrian Bridge DISCUSSION A. Contract In December of 1996, the City Council awarded a contract to Gerstenberger Construction Company for the construction of a pedestrian, equestrian, bicycle emergency access bridge at the south end of Liberty Bell Road. Construction was completed, less minor corrections in late August. The bridge dedication ceremony was held on August 30th. The minor corrections and contract closure discussions have been completed. It is now appropriate to accept the project and record the Notice of Completion. B. Change Orders Seven construction change orders were issued, summarized as follows: 1. A no cost change order making all of the terms and conditions of the Stipulation Agreement between the City and the Southern California Edison Company applicable to the contract. 2. A no cost change order making certain provision of the City's Fish & Game Permit applicable to the construction contract. 3. Construct 4" irrigation water line to serve future possible landscaping on the north side of the AVP road. 4. Construct manhole in the bridge deck to provide access to the utility vault. 5. Other Improvement Costs: In addition to the above described construction contract costs, a number of other improvement costs were incurred in order to complete the project. Budget: A sunmary of the total budget for this project is as follows: RECOZNENDATION Staff recommends that the City Council take the following actions: 1. Accept the work as complete; 2. Direct the City Clerk to send a Notice of Completion to the County Recorder for recordation; and, 3.
